Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Mirror mirror on the wall
Tell me who is best of all
I know it is never me
But can you show me how to be?

Mirror mirror on the wall
Tell me who is worst of all
I'm sure it is me
But can you tell me how not to be?

Mirror mirror, I know I'm bad,
I know that I make people sad.
But does that mean they can hurt me?
Does that mean they can burn me?

Mirror mirror, I too have heart
But why can't they see it? Why do they hurt?
They did destroy my mind and soul
And people expect I should forgive them all

Mirror mirror, tell me what did I do?
I just wanted to live like others do
I just wanted to spread my wings and fly
Mirror mirror, why can't I reach the sky?

Mirror mirror, I too want to sing
But I don't have voice, I can't sing
Mirror mirror, I was beauty, I was sweet
But now these words don't mean anything

Mirror mirror, it's so dark in here
I scream, but no one can hear.
Mirror mirror, when will I touch the light?
when will I be able to fight?

Mirror mirror, they took my life
Why am I still here? Why am I still alive?
U know they took the soul of mine,
But still I smile, I act fine.

Mirror mirror, I'm in pain.
I wish I could still dance in the rain
Mirror mirror, I wish I could die
May be that's the only way I can bid this pain good bye.

Just Another Fairy Tale

Not so long ago, not so far away, there lived a little happy princess. She was growing up merrily under the generous White King's love and protection. She was living in a fairy tale of her own, A Neverland. The queen and the king were so caring. They treated the little princess as their treasured little god’s gift. They protected her from every storm and not to be stolen by any thief, not to be looted by any robber. She was cherished by everybody. Her little talents were so graceful that even the kings and queens of the neighbouring kingdoms loved her, cherished her.
And then they lived happily e.....
Happily for a while. Until there was sudden demise of the kingdom. The queen was taken away and killed by the demons. The demons were so horrific that the little princess was traumatized. The demons were roaming around her. The White King was scared. He did not want his prized little possession to be taken away and murdered as well. So he ran away with the princess leaving his kingdom behind, but promised himself to return again.

One of the neighbouring kings was very kind hearted and offered the crownless White King shelter in his kingdom. He offered a place to the crownless king in his own palace. The queen too was so generous. She took care of the little princess as her own daughter for she did not have a daughter. The little princess was happy again to find a motherly figure. She felt safe again. And then she lived happily e... for a while.

The White King did not worry about his princess anymore. But little did he know that there was a secret the neighbouring king hid. The neighbouring king was actually a treacherous black monster in disguise. He turned to a dangerous creepy scary beast occasionally, scarier than the vampires that roamed around the kingdom at night, more dangerous than the werewolves of the far away kingdom, creepier than the demons that took over the White King's kingdom. He sucked souls out of little precious living beings of his kingdom. He took out his wife's beautiful eyes and gave her fake vision so that she cannot see the monster in him. He made his generous and kind son deaf and gave fake ears that turn the screams of their kingdom into sweet songs. The people of his kingdom called him The Black King. But The Black King was also expert in hiding his own self very well in front of those who come to meet him and a master of enchantment too.

Unacquainted of the fact, the White King went hunting the demons that took over his kingdom leaving his little princess behind under protection of the treacherous Black King. This was the time the Black King was waiting for, as to grow stronger and stronger he needed a soul as pure and untouched as of the little princess. But the little princess was strong and had a shield of innocence protecting her, and above all was her mother’s love. So the black king had to wait until the night he turned into complete beast and has enough strength of taking the little princess under control. And finally the night came. The black king completely transformed into his own self. The monstrous black beast approached the little princess, determined to suck her pure soul out.

The little princess was in her world of dreams, travelling with the birds amongst the clouds. Then suddenly her dream became dark. It grew darker and darker. Darkness engulfed her in her dream there were demons and monsters dancing with black fire in her dream and she woke up only to find the darkness in her dream coming true. She felt darkness crawling towards her and then she saw the black monster. It was something she never saw even in her worst nightmare. Its eyes were red, lecherous. Its touch was ice cold. Its coldness spread into skin of the little princess. The coldness engulfed the little princess, her face, her hands, her entire body was under control of the monster and then it finally pierced into her heart. The Black King started sucking out her soul. The princess felt she will die. Her whole body was aching, blood oozed out from every part of her body. She did not know what was happening. She did not know black monster she only wanted to cry out loud, she just wanted to scream, but all she able to do was staring. Staring at how her soul was being sucked out, tears came out, she could not breathe properly, she wanted to fight back, she wanted to scream, she wanted to cut the monster’s head off but not a single word came out of her mouth, not a single mussel she could move. And then the monster was gone, satisfied with his prey he left the room, leaving the poor little princess in cold darkness. Now as the pain was no more shame and grief settled down. She wanted to peel her skin off. The shame was so immense that she wanted to die that instant. She wanted to throw her heart out off  her body for that was the thing the devil wanted, a pure untouched soul, she fell unconscious.

Next morning she woke up only to find to the horror of the night intensifying. Her pain was nothing compared to the fear, the shame she feels now in her mind. She closed her eyes trying to calm herself down, but she could only see those greedy fierce eyes and feel the burning touch. Every part of her body and mind was filled with the blood stench. She tried to wash away all of it. But the smell of the beast all around her was taking control of her mind and body. How could she wash away the fear in her mind? How was she to wash away the shame instilled in every corner of her mind? How could she run away from the nightmare she just lived? So she sat down in a dark corner of her room and cried for hours. Her mind was stuck in the night. Hours passed but she did not feel like the time has changed a bit from the night. She could still feel the hands on her, the smell of the beast, the way her soul was being sucked. Her tears kept coming out and she fell unconscious again.

Days passed by, she fought with herself, she struggled. She was confused whether it was just a nightmare or a reality. She did not know what to believe, the loving king or the monster of that night. She did not know anymore if the night was a reality. But how could the shame and fear in her mind be just a nightmare. Sleep did not visit her anymore. Whenever she closed her eyes she could only see those eyes, and that night came crushing down to her, she could hear her own mind screaming. She had no joy and happiness left. She seldom came out of her room. She could not stand the day light anymore, she felt like the light burning her. She felt naked in crowd. She did not talk with anyone. She wanted to be invisible. She just wanted to be with her mother. She wanted her mother to hug her, comfort her and take away all her shame and pain. She was still stuck in her nightmare.

The Black King was now more powerful. The pure soul of the little princess gave him strength like nothing before. His skills grew stronger; his mussels grew stronger, healthier. His deception was so powerful that could even deceive the gods. He felt younger than his age. The melancholic face of the little princess gave him endless joy. The fear he saw in her eyes made him feel stronger, gave him joy of controlling her life. He loved the princess for letting him suck out her soul. The queen and prince were still blind and deaf enough not to know any of this. But he was greedy, he craved for more power. He wanted to enjoy his youth more. So one fine night when the princess was lost in her own nightmare the Black King turned into the beast again.

In the dark of her room, the princess was lying on her bed lost in her thoughts when she heard the heavy footsteps. It sounded familiar, from some long forgotten days, but she could not remember whose it was. She turned to see if it was of some old friend or of her father, or may be god heard her prayer and it was her mother, she wanted to be with her mother. Few moments passed, the footsteps were close. She was excited to see someone near, someone close and then she saw the beast. She was terrified; she could not believe her eyes. She wanted to run away and hide, wanted to be invisible. But all she could do was staring at the beast with intense fear, fear of being ripped off again. But she could not do anything. She did not know what to do, what to think. She saw the beast approaching her again. She stared and kept staring. She saw the beast crawling over her skin, on her body. She saw her heart being ripped off again. She saw her body being mutilated. This time she knew what was coming next; she knew how her soul will be sucked out again, but she could not do anything but watching the horror. She saw her body burning; she saw the beast’s venom going deep inside her veins. Now all she could see was those red greedy eyes. She forgot to scream; she forgot to fight. She just lay there staring blankly. And the night passed, the beast was gone leaving the empty shell which once was of a beautiful princess. It was no more the lovely princess; it was merely a structure of flesh and bones. The days passed by but the horror did not stop. The Black King’s hunger for power increased each day. Now he turns to the beast whenever he wishes to and fed himself over the princess’ beauty. He wanted to suck out whatever life was remaining in her.

Months passed by. The horror continued. And then one fine day her father, The White King, finally came back, broken hearted, again defeated by the monsters. He could not take the revenge he promised himself. He wanted to see his princess as she was all what gave him happiness. He now wanted to be with his daughter. But when he came back all he saw was his daughter’s skeleton. The White King was frightened. He thought she had a very bad disease. Many renowned doctors came to cure her. But nothing could be done. Everyone gave up. Everyone agreed that she cannot be saved. She has to die. That was what written for her. The White King kept wiping day and night for his last treasure was to be taken far far away from him.

One such day the little princess woke up in the morning to find her father wiping beside her bed. She saw the sadness she once witnessed when her mother was taken away. She hated seeing her father this way, this broken. Suddenly she felt a light all over herself, a light that can wash away all her pain, a light that save her from the treacherous hands of the Black King. At that instant she knew she needs to be queen, not a princess anymore. She needs to save herself from the hands of the black monster. She gathered all her courage and left her bed silently. She took the long heavy sword with what her father wanted to slay the monsters. She will slay a real monster with this now. She will give back the sword its pride. So she took the open sword in her hand and went to the room the monster was sleeping. She saw the Black King looked beautiful and handsome. He was asleep on his bed of flowers. His room had a heavenly smell. For few moments she thought of the loving king of the daytimes. She loved him. But then she remembered the touch of the black beast, she remembered her own screams. She knew she has to destroy this monster if she had to live. So she took out her father’s sword and beheaded the monster. Hearing the black king’s scream all his guards came rushing to his room and saw his cut head lying on the ground and the princess held a proud sword soaked in his blood. They knew the slayer was the little princess. But the moment they took a step to attack the princess, they suddenly noticed in the place where the head of the king was laying, now there lays head of a deadly beast. Then they saw the body on the bed of flowers is not there king anymore. It is some ghostly creature lying dead there. They suddenly noticed the palace is not beautiful anymore. It was full of blood and flesh. They could hear the screams of many souls. They understood that the one they believed to be a generous king was a treacherous animal, expert in deception. But they had doubts. How did the little princess see it and not they? They were suspicious. Was she his companion? Did she tell him to make this kingdom so miserable?

The princess knew this was to come. She was ready to give them the answer. So she pulled away the shield she had built around herself. She let them see her scarred body. She let them see the prints of the beast’s hand on her body, her soul. She let them know what was done to her. She stood there as the world witnessed the treachery of the monster. She stood there with the open proud sword in one hand and holding the head of the monster in other. She stood there as all the people around her worshipped her as goddess of Power. She is now a complete woman. She is now a queen. She is now a saviour.

And then she lived gracefully ever after...
